Aicellcosme Tokyo THE SERUM vitamin serum, 20ml

Luxurious vitamin serum with derivatives of vitamins C and E in the “golden ratio” with the addition of the powerful moisturizing component LIPIDURE^®. The product is recommended as an additional step in the Aicellcosme care system during the autumn-winter season. It combines well with care lines from other brands and easily fits into any daily skincare routine for tired skin showing signs of aging. The serum works in three directions:

1. Restoration and protection of the skin from harmful UV rays.
2. Smoothing of wrinkles caused by dryness and more serious wrinkles due to damage to collagen fibers.
3. Brightening and evening out skin tone by suppressing the activity of tyrosinase, thereby reducing melanin production and subsequently preventing its accumulation in melanosomes.

The serum contains 2 well-studied vitamins in cosmetology and a unique Japanese active ingredient:

1. Vitamin C derivative (APPS) in a professional, maximum concentration with high penetrating ability reaches the dermis level without the use of additional enhancer systems (encapsulation of the active in liposomes, iontophoresis, electroporation). The high penetrating ability of the active is ensured by its water-soluble form with amphiphilic properties (ability to dissolve in both water and fat), allowing APPS to pass through the lipid-rich stratum corneum and water-saturated epidermis without obstacles. Upon reaching the dermis, APPS is converted into pure vitamin C under the action of skin enzymes and performs its function of stimulating collagen production, thereby increasing skin firmness and elasticity on one hand, while on the other hand, vitamin C works to improve overall skin tone by suppressing tyrosinase activity.
2. The world’s first water-soluble form of vitamin E (TPNa) has allowed technologists to use vitamin E in water-based formulations of lotions and essences. Upon entering the skin, TPNa is converted into pure vitamin E under the action of enzymes and works to neutralize free radicals that oxidize lipids, leading to the destruction of cell membranes, which manifests as dry skin, increased sensitivity, roughness, and even acne. Under the action of TPNa, the skin is better protected from oxidation, the protective barrier is strengthened, which means fewer inflammatory issues, and the skin becomes glossy and hydrated.
3. The patented Japanese active ingredient LIPIDURE^® is a biocompatible polymer originally developed for medical purposes as a surface coating agent for artificially grown organs. It is unique for its high restorative, protective, and moisturizing properties, retaining twice as much moisture compared to hyaluronic acid and remaining on the skin’s surface even when in contact with water.

The slightly oily texture of the transparent serum turns slightly white upon application to the skin, which is due to the presence of blended vitamin E. Also, do not be alarmed if the serum in the bottle appears slightly cloudy – this is also a feature of the formula.

The serum is recommended for use in both evening and daytime care. The product provides a high degree of hydration, feeling like applying a light oil; during the day, it is sufficient to use it in combination with a lotion for normal skin, while for dry skin, it can be topped with Aicellcosme cream or any of your usual creams. When using the serum during the day, be sure to use sun protection with an SPF factor of at least 30.

How to use: in the morning and evening, after moisturizing the skin with lotion, apply one pipette of serum to the skin of the face and neck, gently distribute, wait a minute, and apply an additional layer of hydration in the form of cream and/or SPF cream. In the daytime routine of using the serum, applying SPF is mandatory.

The serum can and should be incorporated into the Aicellcosme acid peeling procedure protocol ( peeling → vitamin lotion → serum → magic gel → lamellar cream).

In the evening intensive skincare protocol of Aicellcosme, add a vitamin mask between the lotion and the serum (cleansing → vitamin lotion → vitamin mask → serum → magic gel → lamellar cream).

My advice: In all Aicellcosme care protocols, add the magic gel and lamellar cream as needed by the skin. For example, for oily and combination skin, it is quite sufficient to stop at applying the gel, while for dry skin, hydration at this stage may not be enough, and an additional layer of cream is needed. For normal skin, you can skip the gel application step in the evening and only apply cream, while in the morning routine, you can stop at the serum or gel step, applying a good caring SPF afterward (for example, Direia UV cream).
