AXXZIA The B Maison Sparkling Mask – a mask with gluconolactone acid as its acidic base, suitable even for dry and sensitive skin.

How do carboxy masks work?

The acidic component of such masks, when interacting with sodium bicarbonate (alkali), neutralizes each other, releasing carbon dioxide (CO2). This carbon dioxide has a positive effect: it penetrates through the stratum corneum to the living structures of the epidermis and dermis. In the skin, CO2 dissolves, and the pH level shifts to the acidic side. This change in pH triggers numerous physiological processes in the tissues. In particular, it leads to the release of oxygen from erythrocytes and increases tissue saturation with it. And since various beneficial actives are present in the mask formulas, the effectiveness of the mask increases significantly. Carboxy masks are indicated for skin prone to couperose, as under the influence of CO2, the damaged walls of capillaries are strengthened, and the formation of new vessels is stimulated. As a result, the appearance of vascular stars gradually disappears.

Usually, the acidic component of carboxy masks consists of fruit acids (AHA acids). AXXZIA The B Maison Sparkling Mask differs from other carboxy masks precisely in its acidic component – the basis of its formula is polyhydroxy acid (PHA) gluconolactone, which, unlike AHA acids, gently affects the skin, provides excellent hydration, and does not cause irritation. PHA acids are usually recommended for those with sensitive and reactive skin, as their larger molecular size allows them to penetrate the skin more slowly, preventing irritation and inflammation. Gluconolactone is particularly indicated for the care of skin prone to rosacea, for thin skin, or for very sensitive skin. This acid effectively polishes, cleanses the skin of dead cells, while hydrating, evening out the tone, and neutralizing the activity of free radicals.

The mask’s formula is rich in anti-aging actives: peptide complexes, botanical extracts.

The mask is packaged in a beautiful white and gold box. The set includes 10 sachets of gel and 10 sachets of activating powder.

Application: Following the instructions, mix 2 parts of the mask in one of the sachets. Apply the resulting mixture in a thick layer to well-cleansed skin using a spatula. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Then remove the gel mask with a spatula (residuals can also be removed by hand), rinse with warm water, and make a compress with a damp warm towel. Then apply your usual skincare. For optimal results, the manufacturer recommends applying the mask daily for at least 5-6 days, then once a week.
