MAAs Repair Essence – a unique, deeply moisturizing, anti-stress serum – a reparative agent for damage caused to cells by ultraviolet light: dryness, loss of tone, dullness, uneven tone and texture, enlarged pores, flaking, irritations.

Thanks to the unique formula of the product, based on glycosphingolipids and amino acids, an increase in the concentration of hyaluronic acid in the skin is achieved within 72 hours due to the excellent absorption of the amino acid derivative acetylhydroxyproline and the repair of epidermal gaps (glycosphingolipids).

Glycosphingolipids – are lipids native to our skin cells or as this group of lipids is referred to by cosmetologists – physiological lipids, when used in cosmetics, prevent transepidermal moisture loss by forming a moisturizing layer on the skin while maintaining the skin’s barrier function. They also act as capsules for delivering beneficial active ingredients deep into the skin.

Acetylhydroxyproline – a derivative of the amino acid hydroxyproline, which promotes the proliferation of fibroblasts and collagen production, increases moisture levels in the skin due to high transdermal absorption, and stimulates cell turnover. This active ingredient has clinical evidence of excellent moisture-retaining ability and, as a result, effectiveness in slowing down skin aging.

The key active ingredient of the Maas serum – a reparative agent for photodamaged skin – is extract of cyanobacteria, extracted from blue-green microalgae of the genus Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA), which release mycosporine-like amino acids. These amino acids have a molecular weight 1000 times smaller than hyaluronic acid and easily penetrate deep layers of the skin. They promote the proliferation of fibroblasts and, consequently, increase collagen synthesis. There is a sufficiently extensive scientific basis proving that mycosporine-like amino acids have the property of absorbing ultraviolet light, thus acting as a natural sunscreen.

The serum is essentially also a booster, as it softens the skin and prepares it for subsequent care. That is why it is recommended to apply it as the first step after cleansing.

In terms of consistency, the product is a viscous liquid, spreads well on the skin, and absorbs quickly. It is suitable for device application (ultrasound and electroporation). When used this way, it is necessary to apply the serum generously to the skin and then, as the surface of the skin dries, moisten the skin with a spray of clean water or apply a conductive gel on top for the device.

How to use: use as the first step after cleansing: take a couple of drops in your palm and distribute it over the skin of the face (including eyelids) and neck, for particularly dry areas it is recommended to apply twice. After that, immediately apply your usual subsequent care. The serum can be applied to the area around the eyes and lips.

After opening, keep the bottle in the refrigerator, avoid touching the dropper, and use the serum quickly, without interruption if possible.
