Your hands will give away all your secrets—how hands reveal our age, and sometimes even add 10 years on top

What Do Your Hands Reveal? Let’s examine the issues and find solutions!

They say the eyes are the window to the soul. But what do the hands reveal? And I’m not talking about palm reading🙈 or bright nail polish.

Let’s take it one step at a time and find solutions!

The Most Common Hand Problems

Each of us has faced at least one of these problems at least once. At a young age, these are often problems that make hands look untidy and unkempt, such as hangnails, dry and rough cuticles, and brittle, curling nails.

However, as we get older, one way or another, problems tend to increase. Your hands are like a mirror—you can take care of your face as much as you want, but if your hands aren’t in good shape, there’s no hiding it or covering it up—they reveal everything.

Analysis of Problems and Solutions

Surgeons in Japan who specialize specifically in the hands (yes, it turns out there’s even a separate field within aesthetic medicine that focuses on the hands and issues with the joints and bones of the hands!) thoroughly describe the symptoms and causes of hand aging—using images and detailed explanations (the images are sourced from popular science websites run by cosmetologists).

Some of the proposed solutions to these problems are sometimes trivial (for example, “just apply cream to your hands every day and you’ll be happy”), but others are truly surprising.

Problem #1—Splitting nails / weak nails / dry cuticles

At first glance, this is the simplest and most common problem that probably everyone has faced at some point in their lives. However, weak nails and dry cuticles are the reason hands look unkempt overall—and let’s face it, when talking one-on-one, everyone looks at your hands; they’re an indicator of a person’s neatness and tidiness.

Since the problem is simple, the solution is just as simple, but let’s go over it just in case—repetition is the mother of learning!

For split nails, it’s sometimes recommended to apply gel—since the thick coating prevents thin nails from bending, making them stronger (albeit artificially). Your natural nail grows and isn’t exposed to any external factors. However, this won’t solve the problem entirely—it’s merely a “cosmetic fix.” It’s recommended to take vitamins for overall women’s health and beauty to support your body from the inside and minimize vitamin deficiencies as much as possible, since these deficiencies are precisely what cause nails to break, crumble, and split.

The cuticle needs care just as much as the body and facial skin do. The skin around the side ridges is often very thin; in some people, the capillary network extends all the way to the outer edge of the cuticle—so you shouldn’t be too aggressive when trimming the cuticle. But what can you do—if the “dryness” is so obvious, and it immediately looks unkempt!

There are two recommendationshere, and one doesn’t really work without the other:

1) Buy an orange stick and, every day or two, take a break from your tasks to gently push back your cuticles—without applying pressure to the nail. This method will take literally 2 minutes of your time, and as a result, you’ll forget about sticky or overgrown cuticles—plus, as a bonus, your nail plate will eventually become longer and more elegant.

2) A simple but effective method—rub oil into your hands aboutonce every three days—it will instantly moisturize the skin on your fingers, making them look neat and presentable right away, so you won’t be embarrassed to go out in public. P.S. A little life hack—if you don’t have any oil on hand (and you don’t want to make your hands greasy), but your skin is dry and rough—use a lip balm (I think everyone should have some in their purse)—wash your hands and apply it directly from the stick to the cuticle area, then gently massage the area with circular motions—your skin will look smooth and very polished, just like after a spa treatment.

Problem #2: Dryness and wrinkles on the fingers

Among people aged 40–50, the number of individuals experiencing issues such as aging hands, visible blood vessels, translucent blood vessels, and wrinkles is on the rise.

“Collagen and elastin, which are the foundation of skin elasticity, decrease, as does the layer of fat, and the skin becomes thinner; as a result, various signs of aging appear.”

Solution

There are several ways to improve the condition of your hands—when used together, you’ll see results in no time.

  1. Stimulating blood flow to the limbs. In simple terms—self-massage. You should massage your hands for a while (see the detailed diagram below).
  2. Let your arms hang down—relax them—imagine they’re made of cotton; lower your hands and, without any tension in your limbs, shake them gently.
  3.  Hand creams—it’s better to spend a little extra and buy anti-aging hand creams; they’re more effective, richer, and specifically designed to address our problem.

* The item marked with an asterisk—it’s about creams, but it’s surprising). Using eye cream on your hands as well. Eye creams are designed to address fine lines, so they have a much more concentrated formula (similar to hand creams). The skin on the fingers is often wrinkled, and the skin on the finger joints is rough and dry. And it is precisely eye creams that can effectively soften this delicate skin on the fingers and smooth out wrinkles.

The best creams for the delicate eye and neck areas are featured on AZIMK's website

A new, powerful cream designed to improve overall skin tone and combat dark spots and freckles. For use around the eyes, on the forehead, and in the nasolabial triangle.

How do you properly apply hand cream?

Gently massage the area around your finger joints using circular motions. Also, do the same for the areas where wrinkles are most concentrated.

Care and Attention to Blood Vessels

Point your hands downward to improve circulation in your hands and boost blood flow.

Even simple exercises—moving your hands up and down (10 times)—can help improve blood circulation in your hands.

Swish your hands from side to side (10 times)—this will make the blood vessels on your hands less noticeable.

You can shake your hands first vertically and then horizontally (this is also great for people who spend a lot of time working at a computer—the exercise effectively relieves fatigue and tension in the hands).

Specialized care to improve the condition of the skin on your hands and minimize signs of aging in this area

Warm your hands in hot water to improve blood circulation and prepare them for further procedures.

Fill a bowl with warm water and soak your hands in it for about a minute.

Take your hands out of the water and gently massage them—in the directions shown in the picture. Applying pressure to the compressed blood vessels will improve blood flow and relieve stagnation.

Apply cream or serum to your hands and gently massage your hands

Gently massage each finger on your hand:

Gently grasp the base of your finger and slide your finger down while applying light pressure.

Problem #3—Swollen Veins

Regardless of our wishes, this problem also arises with age.

The solution couldn’t be simpler—just those same warm hand baths. If you need immediate relief, raise your hands upward and hold them there for a few seconds.

And, of course, massages.

By the way, with the Refa massager, you can also work on each area of your hands more deeply and thoroughly—just as shown in the pictures!

The AZIMK' storefront currently features two Refa models that are perfect for hand massages.

Problem #4—Swollen Joints

Unfortunately, joint problems become very common with age. And the hands are no exception.

Japanese surgeons recommend including phytoestrogens in your diet: nuts, soybeans, and seeds. However, as we age, we often face deficiencies that cannot be addressed by seeds and nuts alone. Therefore, it is recommended to take dietary supplements containing isoflavones. Supplements with this ingredient have a beneficial effect on the hands—they relieve anemia, stiffness in the wrists, and pain in the hands.

As for dietary supplements containing isoflavones, AZIMK’s product lineup features two options from Kobayashi.

Kobayashi Soy Isoflavones for Women's Health

The supplement contains S-equol, a natural compound produced by the body after consuming soy. S-equol is also a product of bacterial activity in the digestive tract. Its production depends on the body’s microflora.

Kobayashi Calcium, Vitamin D, and Soy Isoflavones

1127296488

A supplement for middle-aged and older women, consisting of three components: calcium, vitamin D, and soy isoflavones.

Soy isoflavones are natural plant-derived substances, known as phytoestrogens, that are structurally very similar to the natural human hormones called estrogens.

Yes, absolutely—our hands can give us away. You can have a toned body, well-groomed, glowing skin, and literally radiate from within—but your hands will reveal if you’ve neglected them—they’re always in plain sight, always in the foreground.

In this article, we’ve tried to cover the topic of hands in as much detail as possible. Every part of our body is important, and every part needs care—let’s not forget to take care not only of our face and body, but also of our hands—it seems they’ve been overlooked in beauty magazines and skincare trends —let’s add them to our daily beauty routine and pamper them after our favorite gardening sessions and after another round of “Cinderella” chores at home, and our hands will definitely thank us 🙂

Wishing everyone beauty and health!

With love, AZIMKA💕
